Minutes of the Meeting held on 7.10.2013 regarding Legal Aid Camp on HEC Dhurwa
At 4:10 P.M. on 07/10/2013 the general body meeting of Centre for Legal Aid Programme started.
· The committee decided to conduct a legal aid camp in a slum at HEC, Dhurwa, Ranchi.
· The committee will be working on the problems relating to land, houses, sanitation and electricity.
· CLAP will also work in the area of discrepancies relating to the electricity in two slums.
· CLAP is also planning to do the same thing in all the slums in Ranchi.
· Media coverage for the legal aid camp was also planned.
· A group was formed for legal aid camp on 08/10/2013 consisting of five members which includes, Shyam Sunder (Team Leader), Anjani Nandan Singh, Ranesh Anand, Sudhanshu Prakash and Abhinav Prakash.
· The questions to be asked on 08/10/2013 are: 1. When was the slum established? 2. Identify the five oldest houses? 3. Since when are they living over there? 4. Five leaders of that slum? 5. Five most educated people in that slum? 6. Which are the government institutions running? 7. Where is the nearest primary school?
· A research committee was also formed for the purpose of doing research in the area of Right to Education. The committee consists of Smita Kumari, Deepshikha Sarkar, Stuti Vatsa, Smriti Tripathi, Yashvardhan Singh, Shyam Sunder and Ranesh Anand.
